Vacuum Sealers SE vs SU: which range do I need?
We help you choose the vacuum sealer you need
You need a commercial vacuum sealer. You open Sammic’s catalog or visit our website. The first thing you see is that we offer two ranges of vacuum sealers, Sensor (SE) and Sensor Ultra (SU). How do you choose the model you need? We bring you a concise practical guide.
Common features

High‑precision sensor
Both ranges are designed to deliver perfect results in a professional setting. Equipped with highly reliable pumps, both ranges use a high‑precision sensor, optimizing sealing times and ensuring consistent results regardless of the product volume. Moreover, the “Vacuum plus” function lets the pump continue working for a short while after reaching the target vacuum, guaranteeing maximum quality and safety.

Maximum hygiene
Sammic vacuum sealers are designed following hygienic principles for professional environments. All tabletop models feature an integrated tank without welding seams to prevent dirt accumulation. The sealing bar is removable without disconnecting any cables.
Furthermore, all Sammic vacuum sealers feature double‑seal welding for effective sealing and progressive atmosphere control to avoid bag breakage during decompression, plus a pause button ideal for marinating.
Thanks to these features and the wide variety of models available, both ranges ensure top quality, hygiene, and process standardization.
Main differences

Connectivity
SU models can connect to the free SammicVac app, allowing intuitive programming and control from a mobile device.

Label printing
Sensor Ultra sealers can be connected to an optional printer, enabling label printing without a PC or other device.

Differences when sealing liquids
In Sensor models, liquid sealing safety is ensured by sensor control, whereas Sensor Ultra machines feature a liquid‑evaporation detection system, ensuring the highest possible vacuum in each cycle.

Programming
SU sealers are programmable, allowing up to 99 different programs with lock option. Via the app, you can even customize program names—perfect for process standardization.

Metal bag sealing
If you need to seal products in metalized bags, the SU range offers an optional Plus Seal that handles these bags.

Inert‑gas option
Choose the SU model if you require protective-atmosphere packaging (inert gas) for some or all of your products.

Conclusion
Both ranges provide top effectiveness and hygiene for food vacuum packaging and are suitable for standard use in most scenarios. However, you should opt for an SU model—with or without optional features—if you need: high‑capacity or double‑chamber operation, frequent liquid sealing, program customization and standardization, creative kitchen use, label printing, metal‑bag sealing, or inert‑gas packaging.
